My why:
The Alicia Garcia Memorial Scholarship was created to honor the memory of my mami. She taught me about the power of comunidad and what it means to have the heart of a servant.
I am proud to be part of Cambio para Cambio because I believe in the generational power of education to serve as a trajectory for individual students, for families, and our entire comunidad.
For more than 40 years, HDF has invested in Hispanic students across the Kansas City area through scholarships and college preparation programs, helping students pursue their educational goals and build brighter futures.
Every contribution to my campaign helps create more opportunities for students to access and complete higher education.
