Let's change a student's life forever!
As a proud alumna of the HDF Scholarship Program, I am beyond excited to give back to the community that believed in me and invested in my future. At the time I received my first award letter, I was working two jobs as a server at Golden Corral and a cashier at Panda Express as well as going to school full time. I had fallen in love with the idea of becoming a wildcat but my parents were living in Mexico and I was working low wage jobs making this idea seem far reached. So receiving that letter meant the entire world to my family and I. It meant that I was one step closer to achieving our dream of becoming the first college graduate in the family.
My community empowered me when I needed it most and now it's my turn to give back and help the next generation of students attend college and pursue their dreams.
Just a small donation will go a long way to helping me meet my goal for the Hispanic Development Fund Scholarship Program. Every donation counts, and no donation is too small. That's the power of crowdfunding - if we all give a little, together we can accomplish a lot!
