The purpose of The Flor Maria Rigsby Memorial Scholarship is to provide high school and college Hispanic students with a private scholarship to assist with paying for their higher education. Flor Rigsby was a passionate educator who believed every student should have the opportunity to seek higher education. Since inception the Flor Maria Rigsby Memorial Scholarhsip has provided $XX to students.
Cambio para Cambio (Change for Change) is a community-led campaign that showcases the philanthropic power of Latino students, local businesses, and professional organizations. In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, every dollar donated from September 15 through October 15 is matched 100% by generous HDF donors, doubling the giving power and impact of your gift. Since the inception of Cambio para Cambio, our community's support has been tremendous. Starting with a $6,000 inaugural campaign to last year's raising a total of $500,000, Cambio para Cambio now funds 2/3rds of the scholarships awarded by HDF.
