Together, we can create more scholarship opportunities for Kansas City Latino students.

In 2022,, a close family friend introduced us to an incredible organization called Cambio para Cambio, which translates to Change for Change. For 40 years, this organization has dedicated itself to helping Hispanic students pursue their dreams of attending college.

Last year, with the generous support of our friends and family, we were able to assist six deserving Hispanic students on their educational journeys. This effort was especially meaningful for us as we honored the memory of our daughter, Linda, who tragically passed away from an aggressive brain tumor. She was a trooper and remained her spunky feisty self till her passing in May 2018. She also maintained her faith in God to her final day on earth. At age 17, Linda had a deep desire for her two younger sisters to finish their education-a dream she was not able to fulfill for herself. To commemorate Linda's spirit and passion for life, we established the Linda Mendez Memorial Scholarship. Through this scholarship we aim to help others achieve their educational aspirations, just as Linda wished for her sisters.

In our commitment to this cause, Brad and I are matching any donation up to $2500. The amazing part is that organization will also match any donations received! This means that your contribution, no matter the amount will have triple the impact!
