Growing up in the Latino Community, I watched my parents work tirelessly to provide for our family. They often emphasized the value of community. As I work with the students of East High School, I am reminded of this value.
We have many bright and intelligent students here, some want to be construction workers and others want to go to college. However, some pause on their dreams because they cannot afford to pay for technical school, community college, or 4 year University. It is inspiring to witness their resilience and determination, but not everyone is granted the same opportunity.
In addition, we have students who are undocumented and attending college might seem impossible for them due to their status. However, thanks to contributions made through Cambio para Cambio, we are able to give students hope and a chance for a better future.
Now, as I participate in initiatives like Cambio para Cambio, I am reminded of that spirit. Every contribution counts, and together, we can make a significant impact in the lives of those around us. Will you join me to support our East high school students?
