Cambio para Cambio (Change for Change) is a community-led campaign that realizes the philanthropic power of Latino students, local businesses, and professional organizations. In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, every dollar donated from September 15 through October 15 will be matched 100% by generous HDF donors, doubling the giving power and impact of your gift.

At GCHS, we specifically raise money for our DACA / undocumented students and award students with the Pell Project Scholarship in May. The Pell Project scholarship is the same amount as the Pell Grant. As a DACA / undocumented student, they cannot apply for FAFSA and so this private scholarship helps students and their families with the cost of college.

  • 100% of dollars raised will be matched by generous HDF donors, DOUBLING your fundraising total.
  • 100% of dollars raised by each high school team will go back to HDF Scholarship applicants from participating high schools (ex. GCHS is raising money for 2023 GCHS Pell Project Scholarship).

This impact can go even further when scholarships are matched again by HDF partner colleges. Nearly 95% of 2022 HDF Scholars from GCHS selected schools within this network, raising the overall impact to 3-4x the amount of your gift. The GCHS Class of 2023 is already on track to positively impact their community. 91% of our seniors have already been accepted to at least one college, including several who have already begun earning college credit through Early College Program options offered at GCHS. Our seniors have set ambitious goals for themselves, and have been admitted at a range of colleges, including: Metropolitan Community College, University of St. Mary, University of Missouri-KC, Avila, Rockhurst, and The University of Kansas.
